Listen to CNN via CW

Yup, you read that right! K6DBG has set up an application that takes the CNN news feed on Twitter and converts it to a live Morse code stream over the Internet.

If you know CW, you can have the stream running in your shack in the background. These streams would also be great for learning CW.

He provides two streams:

Slow Code: http://cw.dimebank.com:8080/CNNslow.m3u

Fast Code: http://cw.dimebank.com:8080/CNNfast.m3u

To listen to the streams, you need software that is capable of playing an ICE Cast audio stream (m3u file type). WinAmp can do it natively.

If you are running Microsoft Windows and don’t have WinAmp installed, you can download it for free from: http://www.winamp.com/.

For Linux, you can use Amarok. XMMS should also work.

Not sure what you can use for Mac. If there are any Mac users in the CARS club, would you post simple directions on how to listen to these streams.
