Club History
The Chesapeake Amateur Radio Service was started in 1979
with approximately 12 charter members.
The club continues to have a group of operators dedicated to provide emergency communication services and educational opportunities to citizens of the City of Chesapeake and the South Hampton Roads community.
Our current membership (2008) exceeds 80 members!
