CARS will be hosting training classes to pass and acquire your Amateur Radio Technician Class license. This is the entry class license for amateur radio operators in the United States.
Classes and exam will be held at 116 Reservation Rd. in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake, beside the Great Bridge bridge.
Saturday 11/4th is start of class which will run 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The remaining classes are on Tuesdays and Thursday’s evenings 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Saturday, November 18th is exam session and registration starts at 1:00 pm.
Text book: The ARRL Ham Radio License Manual, THIRD edition available from the American Radio Relay League at www.ARRL.org or from Amazon.com for $10 less (you may have to click on the Kindle version to find the printed edition). The Kindle version is NOT suitable for the class or self study, so get the printed book.
